    Parent Workshop: Mental Health 101

    Thursday, May 12 | 5-6 pm

    Come join us!  OCDE Regional Mental Health Coordinator, Amelia Azzam, LCSW PPSC, will be presenting on Student Mental Health 101. The learning objectives include 'What is Mental Health'; myths and facts about mental health; reviewing risk, and protective factors; symptoms of common childhood mental health conditions; identifying coping strategies; and building student resilience. This is a one-hour interactive presentation. We hope to see you all there.

    Presenter: Amelia Azzam, OCDE RMHC

    Amelia Azzam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who also holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of California, Los Angeles.  In her current position as a Regional Mental Health Coordinator for the Orange County Department of Education, Amelia provides a wide range of mental health supports to school districts including improving mental health infrastructure in efforts to increase student and family access to mental health supports.
