School Readiness Programs are partially funded through a partnership with First 5 Orange County. These programs support children ages 0-5 across Orange County schools, offering targeted services based on needs identified in the Early Development Index (EDI) findings.

First Five Orange County and the HBCSD Preschool Academy collaborate to enhance school readiness for community members by offering multiple health screenings, including dental, vision, and hearing, as well as access to the Learning Link. The Learning Link program is organized to introduce young children to a classroom/school environment, showcasing activities they will engage in once enrolled in our classrooms, such as large and small group interactions, and the rules and expectations for these activities. All children must be accompanied by an adult and registration is required to participate. For more details, please view the link or contact the ECE office.

Additionally, First Five Orange County provides a resource called Kid Builders, which promotes development in six key areas: mind, words, body, relationships, safety, and health, supporting holistic child development.
