Canvas is the official Learning Management System (LMS) for HBCSD. It serves as a central hub where teachers, students, and families connect with digital coursework, resources, and communication.
What’s Inside Canvas?
- Curriculum & Content: Direct access to teacher-created lessons and digital materials.
- Organization: Real-time updates on assignments, grades, and course calendars.
- Communication: A direct line to teachers via the built-in Inbox.
Families as "Observers"
Family accounts are linked to student profiles, providing a window into the classroom. As an Observer, you can:
- View upcoming assignments and due dates.
- Monitor grades and teacher feedback.
- Track student course interactions.
- Note: To maintain academic integrity, Observers cannot submit work on behalf of students.
