In partnership with Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), Huntington Beach City School District (HBCSD) is excited to announce the extension of the Youth Ride Free pass initiative. The program allows passengers ages 6 to 18 to ride all Orange County Bus fixed-route buses every day. The new OCTA Youth Ride Free passes will be valid through September 30, 2026.

HBCSD students’ current OCTA youth pass (magnetic stripe cards) will be valid until September 30, 2025. To obtain the new youth pass (WAVE cards), parents must complete the request form (one for each student) linked below and submit it to your student's school office. Hard copy forms are also available at all HBCSD school sites.
